Do you offer support to mums?
Questions, answered
What is MamNeeds?
MamNeeds is an introduction platform. It's a directory where mums can find doulas, lactation consultants, sleep coaches, childcare and similar support, and see references before getting in touch. We don't employ providers.
Is it free for mothers?
Yes, always. Searching, reading profiles, messaging providers and leaving reviews are all free.
How are providers checked?
Providers upload documents (such as ID, qualifications or vetting letters) to a private area that only our team can open. We review them and, if they check out, add a Verified badge. Anything a provider tells us about themselves without a document is marked "Self-declared". We don't claim someone is vetted unless we've checked it.
What does "Verified" mean?
It means our team has looked at the documents that provider uploaded. It is not a guarantee of quality or a replacement for your own checks, so please read references and ask questions.
What are references?
References are short statements from people who have worked with the provider, such as a client, colleague or employer. Providers add them to their profile. Referee contact details are never shown publicly.
How do I contact a provider?
Use the Message button on their profile. You'll need a free account. Your email address and phone number are not shared with them.
Is my information private?
We collect as little as we can: a name, an email and, optionally, your country and county. Please don't put your baby's details or health information on your profile or in public posts. See our Privacy Policy.
How do providers join, and what does it cost?
Create a free account, choose "I offer support", and build your listing. Your first month is free, then it's €10 a month, paid as a one-off renewal. There's no auto-renewal, and an expired listing is simply hidden until you renew.
Can I report a profile?
Yes. Every listing has a "Report this profile" button. Reports go straight to our team.
What if I need urgent medical help?
MamNeeds can't give medical advice. In an emergency call 112 or 999. For non-urgent concerns, contact your GP, midwife or public-health nurse. If you're feeling overwhelmed, the Samaritans are free on 116 123, any time.

Who we are
MamNeeds is an online directory that introduces mothers to independent support providers. You can contact us at allkindsofsupport@gmail.com.
What we collect
We collect the minimum we need: your name, email address and password (stored by our authentication provider, Supabase), and optionally your country and county. Providers also give us their listing details, references, an optional photo and, for verification, documents such as ID or qualifications. Messages you send through MamNeeds are stored so the other person can read them.
Please don't put your children's names, photos or any pregnancy or health details in your profile, messages to us or public posts. We don't ask for them and don't want them.
How we use it
To run your account, show provider listings, deliver messages, review verification documents, take payments (processed by Stripe; we never see card numbers), keep the service safe, and answer your questions.
Who can see what
- Public: provider listings, references (names and statements, not contact details), and reviews.
- Private: your email, messages (visible to you, the other person and our admins), and verification documents (visible only to the provider and our admins, stored in a private area).
Referees
Providers may give us a referee's contact details so we can check a reference. These are visible only to that provider and our admins.
Chat assistant
If you use the chat assistant, your messages are sent to an AI service to generate a reply. Don't share personal or health information in it.
Translation
If you choose a language other than English, page text is sent to Google Translate by your browser.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Retention
We keep your account data while your account exists. Verification documents are deleted when your listing is removed or on request.

Emergencies
MamNeeds is not an emergency or medical service. In an emergency call 112 or 999.
Mothers and other users
Using MamNeeds to search, message and review is free. Be honest and respectful. Reviews must reflect your own experience and may only be left after you've messaged the provider.
